New home sales - 10:00

New home sales NEW RESIDENTIAL SALES IN NOVEMBER 2009 Sales of new one-family houses in November 2009 were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 355,000, according to estimates released jointly today by the U.S. Census Bureau and the Department of Housing and Urban Development. This is 11.3 percent (±11.0%) below the revised October rate of 400,000 and is 9.0 percent (±15.3%)* below the November 2008 estimate of 390,000. The median sales price of new houses sold in November 2009 was $217,400; the average sales price was $280,300. The seasonally adjusted estimate of new houses for sale at the end of November was 235,000. This represents a supply of 7.9 months at the current sales rate.
This was a horrible number. They reported on TV this missed estimates by 11 percent. Market pretty much yawned.

Full report here NEW RESIDENTIAL SALES IN SEPTEMBER 2009 Sales of new one-family houses in September 2009 were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 402,000, according to estimates released jointly today by the U.S. Census Bureau and the Department of Housing and Urban Development. This is 3.6 percent (±10.2%)* below the revised August rate of 417,000 and is 7.8 percent (±12.0%)* below the September 2008 estimate of 436,000. The median sales price of new houses sold in September 2009 was $204,800; the average sales price was $282,600. The seasonally adjusted estimate of new houses for sale at the end of September was 251,000. This represents a supply of 7.5 months at the current sales rate. New Residential Sales data for October 2009 will be released on Wednesday, November 25, 2009, at 10:00 A.M. EST.

Full report here NEW RESIDENTIAL SALES IN AUGUST 2009 Sales of new one-family houses in August 2009 were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 429,000, according to estimates released jointly today by the U.S. Census Bureau and the Department of Housing and Urban Development. This is 0.7 percent (±16.2%)* above the revised July rate of 426,000, but is 3.4 percent (±13.3%) below the August 2008 estimate of 444,000. The median sales price of new houses sold in August 2009 was $195,200; the average sales price was $256,800. The seasonally adjusted estimate of new houses for sale at the end of August was 262,000. This represents a supply of 7.3 months at the current sales rate.

NEW RESIDENTIAL SALES IN MAY 2009 - Full report here Sales of new one-family houses in May 2009 were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 342,000, according to estimates released jointly today by the U.S. Census Bureau and the Department of Housing and Urban Development. This is 0.6 percent (±17.8%)* below the revised April rate of 344,000 and is 32.8 percent (±10.9%) below the May 2008 estimate of 509,000. The median sales price of new houses sold in May 2009 was $221,600; the average sales price was $274,300. The seasonally adjusted estimate of new houses for sale at the end of May was 292,000. This represents a supply of 10.2 months at the current sales rate.
